This is the primary characteristic that compares to the ceramic coating counterparts of Icon Rocklear. Utilizing revolutionary I.C.E technology (Interlocking Coating Inforcement), your selected Icon Rocklear formula will bond with your paintwork and STAY bonded for up to 15 years. When bonded the surface becomes extremely tense, causing water and liquid contamination to bead up and run off while making it difficult for any solids to stick. The result is a low-maintenance shine that will look better no matter what it faces!

Scratch Resistance

For most, you have to resort to a paint protection film to achieve scratch resistance on a vehicle, but Icon Rocklear is extremely durable! Being the fact that it is 75 times stronger and 35 times thicker than your average vehicle coating, Icon Rocklear will greatly resist more key scrapes, nicks, rock chips, etching, marring, and a plethora of other painful defects and discrepancies that ceramic coatings will not.     Yes you can! This is yet another characteristic of Icon Rocklear that outpaces the ceramic coating alternatives that most are accustomed to. You can apply a vinyl wrap or a paint protection film on top of your Icon Rocklear as you wish. While Icon Rocklear is extremely resistant to scratches and various surface defects, we at Prestige Tint and Detail understand that many individuals want that added layer of protection OR are looking for a color change with vinyl wrap. These are COMPLETELY SAFE to install.

  • Is Icon Rocklear and ceramic coatings the same thing?

    They may be installed the same way; however, Icon Rocklear and ceramic coatings are entirely different products. The way Icon Rocklear bonds with your vehicle’s finish is in a way that not only enhances the paintwork but simultaneously CORRECTS any previously existing MINOR defects and discrepancies. Ceramic coatings are not able to accomplish this, as they form a molecular bond but ultimately create a gloss that may showcase any defects that were not previously corrected. Plus, ceramic coatings are predominantly a hydrophobic enhancement, whereas Icon Rocklear is a PROTECTION package.

  • Are there any other applications for Icon Rocklear outside of street vehicles?
